Position Summary
As America Auto Auction Group's strategic expansion brings our premier auction services into the heavy commercial asset space, we are seeking a highly organized, meticulous, and proactive Equipment Compliance & Licensing Specialist. Moving from wholesale passenger vehicles into large industrial equipment, commercial trucks, and agricultural machinery introduces unique regulatory frameworks, complex titling matrices, and specialized licensing requirements.
The Equipment Compliance & Licensing Specialist will oversee and mitigate all operational risks associated with dealer/buyer licensing verification and post-transaction processing. This role ensures that every auction, location and legal entity adheres to state, federal and local auction regulations, and internal risk mitigation protocols. This will be a unique opportunity for the selected candidate to establish a foundational compliance framework for a fast-growing, nationwide corporate expansion.

Responsibilities for Equipment Compliance & Licensing Specialist
- Multi-Jurisdictional Frameworks: Maintain an updated knowledge base of varying state-level auction regulations across our expanding national footprint
- Work with sales to determine auction entity to tie auction events to
- Track and coordinate auction events across legal entities to meet customer needs while maintaining auction level compliance
- Work with regulatory and internal counsel to maintain, renew and update licenses where necessary
- Review auction inventory to ensure proper licensing for auction events
- Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary link between the equipment division and state DMVs, Departments of Revenue, and law enforcement agencies concerning operational permits.
- Work with upcoming acquisitions and recently closed acquisitions to properly integrate the acquired locations into the company regulatory framework
Requirements
Requirements for Equipment Compliance & Licensing Specialist
- Experience: Minimum of 4 to 6 years of compliance, titling, or senior office operations experience within an auto auction, heavy equipment dealership, remarketing agency, or industrial asset liquidation environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep, working familiarity with wholesale auction platforms, motor vehicle commission rules. Knowledge of commercial heavy truck regulations (e.g., IFTA, DOT exemptions) or heavy equipment lien laws (UCC filings) is highly preferred.
- Skills: Exceptional administrative accuracy;
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Legal Studies, Finance, or a related field; equivalent seasoned industry experience will be considered.
