Credentialing Specialist

Job Duties:

• Assist in credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging process for all healthcare providers to provide patient care at the Hospital. 
• Responsible for ensuring and maintaining data for each provider in credentialing databases and online systems timely renewal of licenses and certifications.  
•  Complies and maintains current and accurate data for all providers.   
• Completes provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitoring and follow-ups as needed.   
• Ensure practice addresses are current with all entities.   
• Maintain Copies of current Licenses, DEA Certificates, malpractice insurance/ coverage and other required documentation.   
• Perform other duties assigned by System Director or the manager
• Coordinate provider onboarding and EMR-Training.
• Audit credentialing files to ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the credentialing team as needed

Education/Experience Requirements:

• High school Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
• Previous experience in Medical Staff Services,Credentialing Specialist/Knowledge of  credentialing 
• Strong organizational communication and data entry skills with attention to details
• Demonstrates professionalism, ethical conduct discretion and strict confidentiality when handling provider and oragnizational information
