What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
Screen individuals, bags, packages, and other permitted items using assigned screening equipment and established access-control procedures.
Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry, and direct visitors to appropriate check-in points or designated areas.
Respond to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as required.
Maintain accurate screening-related logs, incident reports, and daily activity documentation while helping to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least one year of security-related experience.
Possess a college degree.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
